Mini LED

We developed an innovative way to produce and integrate a precision micro-catadioptric optical array that combines refraction and reflection of light from each emitter, providing directional view angle capability — a significant advantage for many display, backlight, and lighting applications.

Mini LED

Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) dominated the display world for the last 20 years but are now challenged by the rich deep black performance of OLED.  Mini LED is a powerful way to exploit existing LCD infrastructure and extend LCD performance for years to come. Compared to standard LCD, Mini LED enables power efficiency by dimming the backlight in dark areas of the image. Our mini-LED capabilities enable LCDs to achieve privacy displays with high brightness and High Dynamic Range (HDR) in a slim display package. Longer term, our proprietary mini LED architectures promise a step change in mini LED performance.

Micro LED

Micro LED is an emerging and rapidly growing display technology that offers better image quality and energy efficiency compared to LCD displays. Our patented micro LED backplane manufacturing techniques are the leading technology on the market and offers your brand’s products a competitive edge.

Micro LED Manufacturing

Standard pick-and-place machines are not fast enough nor accurate enough to hold up to the large-scale production needs of Tier 1 companies. We were quick to realize the benefits of small GaN micro LEDs transferred to a sparse array. In fact, we even created our own proprietary micro LED transfer technique to enable the extraction of micro LEDs from wafers to backplanes for display and lighting applications — an overall rapid, scalable, and cost-effective method of bringing micro LEDs applications to life.

We work closely with our licensing partners to build supply chains and support your manufacturing ramp-up.
